Baby Boy

Evening all.
I thought I'd have a bit of a change from stamping today. This card has had the Marianne Design, Eline's Cuddly Animals giraffe, embossed using the Cuttlebug, onto a circle of card. The spots have been coloured with a Whispers pen then highlighted with a glitter gel pen. The design was then pricked using the template and stitched with a glittery thread. It was quite time consuming but very therapeutic.
The challenges I am entering with it are;
My Time To Craft - New Baby
and finally
I hope you like it =)

Easter Bonnet

I came to a bit of a stand still with curtains today. The ones I'm making at the mo are 102inches long, and there was no way I could measure them to length accurately by myself. So, rather than waste the afternoon, I thought I should make a card, using my new Penny Black bear stamp that arrived this morning - oops don't tell hubby, of course I've had it for ages !!!!
But instead of a random creation, I thought I'd focus my mind and see how many challenges I could do with one hit. This was the result;
Sunday Sketch and Stamp - layout sketch
Crafty Angels - Easter
Cupcake Crafts - Spring / Easter with chocolate
Daring Cardmakers - Egg (the poster on card is for an egg hunt - hope this counts)
Pile It On - Animal-Riffic
Paper Cutz - Easter - NO bunnies or chicks
Quirky Crafts - Flowers
and finally
Papertake Weekly - Open Challenge.

Happy Catty

I was just having a bit of lunch and thought I'd pop on line to order something for my nephew for Easter, and then got side tracked into blogland, instead of going back to curtain making.
I made this little cat card for a friend last night - I hope she likes it.
I've used the sketch from the Truly Scrumptious challenge, and the theme follows the SophistiCat challenge - Raining Cats and Dogs.
;o)

Baby Bear

Afternoon all.
I made this card last night before going out to friends for dinner, so I thought I'd post it today.
The layout follow the sketch from The Pink Elephant challenge, which I thought was a lovely change from my normal matting and layering.
The theme fitted two more challenges; Die Cut Dreams - new beginnings and Crafty Creations - babies.
The tag on the baby sling has a tiny heart on it, and the ribbon has woven hearts down it, so that fitted the Totally Gorjuss challenge - hearts.
Finally, I have used only minty blue and white (other than the skin tones on the bear), so I thought I'd also enter it into the Crafty Catz challenge - white & 1 other colour.
Hugs :o)

Therapy

I think I need more than therapy to cure my addiction to blogging at the moment, but hey chocolate would definitely help !!!!!
This was just a quickie that I made with a stamp I've had for a long time but never used, but when I saw the Papertake Weekly sketch challenge this week, it just seemed to fit. The colours used, follow the recipe for the Create 4 Fun - brown, cream and pink, and finally I am entering it in the Cupcake Craft challenge - food and drink.
I hope you like it :o)

Christmas Box

I think I could do with some photography lessons - how do you photograph something half made of mirror board without getting yourself in the picture lol !!!!!
Anyhow this is my creation for the ABC Christmas challenge - they are up to the letter G for Glitz with the optional extra of silver -I hope this little gift box fits the bill.
The image was created using a small cuttlebug embossing folder, which was then cut out and just matted and layered with black to keep it clean and simple. Finally I couldn't resist adding just a few gems to sparkle up my little box a bit.

Poppy

This card combines two of my favourite techniques, stamping and making blossoms from various different punches.
The 3D poppy head was made using a combination of a snowflake punch, a circle punch, a carnation punch, a stamen punch and a smaller snowflake. It has then been added to an Inkadinkadoo stamped image that has been lightly highlighted with pencils just to add a hint of colour.
I am entering this into the Fab 'n' Funky challenge - its all in the technique.
;o)

Dimensional Card

Afternoon all.
Just a quick posting of a card I made for a class a little while ago. I was sorting out my box of samples, trying to have a bit of a tidy up, and came back across it.
I thought it would be a very apt entry for the Cute Card Thursday challenge - Dimensional, as it is a multi folded card with Decoupage decoration on it.
Hope you like it :o)

Spring Fairy

I'm on a roll, a woman on a mission, I've got to get my fix of blog challenges in before my Mother-in-Law comes to stay for the weekend, as she will be organising me on gardening duty rather than card making.
I came across this cute fairy stamp in my stash, and decided she would make a fab Spring / Easter fairy. I couldn't resist adding glamour dust to the flowers to make them sparkle, plus a couple of gems to her antennae. The backing papers are from a Do Crafts, Daisy and Dandelion pad.
I am entering the card in the following challenges.
Friday Sketchers - the sketch for the layout
One Stop Craft - Let it shine
Simon Says Stamp - Easter with sparkle
Paper Play - Easter
Colour Create - Pastels
Flutter By Wednesday - Open but must have butterfly or fairy
and lastly Creative Card Crew - Going Dotty
I hope you like her !!!!!

Owls About This

This is the second card my ladies are making in their on the shelf class - a class where things sit on things.
The owl stamp is from a Kanban set and the branch is from an Inkadinkadoo set. The girls will have to do a bit of basic masking to make it look like the owl is sitting on the branch.
Just for fun I am entering this in the Quixotic Challenge - monochromatic.
Hope you like :o)

Easter Basket

This card is made using my new bargain stamp that I won on ebay for 99p. It was brand new, and stamps really well.
I have used the sketch from the Just Cute Bears challenge #9 as the layout for the card.
It is also being entered in the Stamp With Fun challenge - Easter, Incy Wincy Designs - Easter, the C.R.A.F.T. challenge, also Easter and I'm sneaking it into the Passion for Promarkers challenge, which is for a springtime theme including an animal, I hope bunnies and bears count !!!

Flower Lady

I'm having another one of those days. I'm supposed to be making Roman blinds, but things were just not going well, so I thought I'd have a little break and knock up a quickie card for The Moving Along With The Times sketch challenge, as it was such a lovely simple layout to interpret.
My intentions were to go back to making blinds, but the postman has just delivered a little package of Magnolia stamps from America, so what's a girl to do lol !!!!

Passion For Apples

Hurray, I finally found my new sheet of EZ mount, so I could try out my new Lili of the Valley stamp. I didn't realise it had a really cute little mouse eating an apple core down the bottom until I actually stamped it !!!
Anyhow, this card was made with just two challenges in mind. The layout follows the Willow Sketchie sketch, and the theme seems to suit the Charisma Cardz challenge - something for the kids.
:0)

Bunny Basket

I've had such an exciting day - I have been shoe shopping with my two boys for new school shoes. I nearly had heart failure at the checkout in Clarkes, have they any idea how much crafty stash I could have bought for the price of two pairs of shoes !!!!!!!!
Anyhow, as the day has progressed, things have got better. I have finished sorting my sample cards for my classes tuesday and wednesday - it's always a relief to know what you're doing, I've just got to make the kits up now.
It was then a choice as to do the accounts or make a card for a challenge or two - guess which won ????
This card is made using the Daisy and Dandelion stamp from one of the DoCrafts goody bags, promarkers, cuttlebug embossing folders, and ribbon, flowers and buttons from my stash.
The challenges it is being entered in are;
Allsorts -Spring is in the Air
Paper Cutz - 1 ribbon and 3 buttons
The Secret Crafter - Spring has Sprung
Magical Crafts Fortnightly - Spring / Easter theme

Little Birdie

Just a quickie card today, as I've been busy preparing my cards for Tuesdays class - and unfortunately they don't fit any challenges at the mo - that was really bad planning.
Never mind, this card was made with a left over kit from my stationery class, it includes the use of a paper fastener (honestly not a brad), a record card and also a staple. The stamp is from an Inkadinkadoo set, so fitted the Daring Cardmakers - tweetie pie challenge.
Hope you like :0)

Heffalump Spring

Evening all - boy I'm glad its Friday, it has seemed a very long week.
This card has been made amidst total chaos, my husband has decided to empty my craft cupboard and paint the inside of it, so all my boxes are stacked up and down the hallway. Plus my 6 year old son has a friend here, and who'd believe two small boys to create so much devastation in such a short space of time.
This card was made following the recipe from Crafts 4 Eternity, which required use of their sketch, colours green and yellow, plus added string or wool . I am also entering it in the Penny Black Saturday challenge for spring colours, as I have used the Penny Black Embrace stamp 2892K for the image - coloured as usual with promarkers. Finally, it is being used for the Crafty Catz challenge and the Pink Elephant challenge which both have spring themes.
Hope you like it.
:o)

Forever Friends Couple

I made this card late last night, but then had to wait for the camera batteries to charge before I could photograph it - typical !!!!
Anyhow, I have used the new clear Forever Friends bear wedding stamps, and coloured them with promarkers - I was particularly pleased with the sheen on Mr Bears hat. It follows the sketch for the Forever Friends challenge blog, so heres hoping you like it.
Thanks to Lisa Jane, I'm also going to enter this card into the Stampavie and more challenge #86 - weddings.
Thank you.

Jackys Birthday Card

Afternoon, I have had a very exciting day today, I have won my first challenge at Willow Sketchie, it was only names out of a hat, but hey what does that matter, I still won some lovely Walter owl, digi images.
It is also my big sisters birthday today, so
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKY.
This is the card I made for her earlier this week, with lots of glitter and bling, I hope she likes it.
I am going to enter it into the Pollycraft Monday challenge - sparkly things.
:0)

Frosty the Snowman

Its that Christmas feeling again - boy I'm going to be so organised, it'll be scary !!
I'm posting this card with two challenges in mind, the first is the ABC Christmas challenge - 'F' for Frosty, and the second is the Rainbow Lady's challenge - acetate overlay, with an added optional challenge of Christmas.
I hope it has enough glitter on it !!!!! :o)

Fairy Wishes

Todays card was made with three challenges in mind, but was basically an excuse to use my new Lili of the Valley fairy stamp - which I love !!!!!!
The layout is using the I Love Promarkers sketch, the colours of lilac and lemon follow the Papertake Weekly theme, and finally I'm sneaking it into the Totally Papercrafts challenge - things with wings.
Let me know your thoughts ;o)

Beautiful Blossom

Afternoon all.
I thought I'd share this chrysanthemum card with you that I taught in my class last week. It is made up using three different sized daisy punches, then the petals are shaped, before all the elements are stacked together - I think it is a lovely, cheerful card - I hope you agree ;o)
I am entering it in the second Creative Cottage challenge - Flowers - I think it might possibly fit the bill, and also Creative Inspirations - white, yellow and green colour theme challenge.

Hooty Birthday

It's been another busy day in my little sweat shop - I've mended a hammock, unstuffed a pillow, shortened a pair of trousers, then my favourite - NOT, 2 pleated skirts needed shortening.
Anyway that finished, I thought it was time to make some cards.
I've actually made 2 today, but one is for my sisters birthday on Thursday, so I'm not posting that one yet.
This card was made using some odd bits of card lying around on my desk, and a lovely Pink Gem stamp.
It follows the sketch for this weeks challenge on Passion for Promarkers. It is a suitable Happy Birthday card for a man, so can be entered in Cards for Men, and finally is a celebration card, so I'm sneaking it into the Cute Card Thursday challenge.

Tulip Bear Barely There

After an exciting day making cushions for a friend, I felt the need to make a card for a challenge or two.
I must still be on a roll from yesterday, although todays card only meets 5 challenges - but hey I'm still impressed that I'm organised for a change.
This card uses a Forever Friends bear stamp coloured with Promarkers -what else lol, a Crafts Too embossing folder , nesties to cut the oval, an Xcut corner punch and ribbons, lace and gems from my stash.
The challenges I'm entering are;
Just Cute Bears - all white
Teddy Stampers - mothers day
Crafty Angels - hearts and lace
Papercutz - anything goes
Hope you like :o)

Peeking Piggy

Firstly, Happy Mothers Day, to all the Mums in blogland.
I've been on a bit of a roll today, I actually checked out the challenges around before making my card and have 7 covered in one hit - a record for me.
Recipe
The stamp on this card is one from The Nellie Snellen Piggy series, that has been coloured in Promarkers - no surprises there lol.
The embossed butterflies were created using a Crafts Too embossing folder, and the ribbon came from the last Do Crafts goody bag.
Finally the flowers and green pearls came from my stash.
The challenges I am entering with it are;
In2crafting - Sketch (March) -DT
Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes
Critter Sketch Challenge - Image with a flower, then use yellow, blue and green
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Beautiful Butterflies
Crafty Angels - Butterflies
Rainbow Ladies Challenge - Mothers Day
Daring Cardmakers - A Host of Daffodils
Hope you like it :o)

Mr Mechanic

Hello all, it feels like ages since my last visit to blogland, I think I've been suffering from withdrawal symptoms.
Anyhow, to make up for it I have designed this quickie card for two challenges.
The card layout follows the sketch in this weeks Willow Sketchie challenge, and the image fits the Crafty Cat challenge - Something for the Boys.
Please leave me a comment with your thoughts ;0)

A Hint of Green

I thought I'd try and be slightly more organised than usual, so when I made this card I had three challenges in mind.
The sketch for the card comes from the Papertake weekly challenge, the colours were defined by the Passion for Promarkers team - bright green and mango ( a very different colour combo from my normal choice lol), and finally it just happened to fit the theme of green for the Crafty Catz challenge site.

;o)

Groovy Golfer

Morning all, I was going to post this card last night, but the evening just ran away without me, so I thought I'd do it now instead.
This little chap is a Papermania stamp, and I have paper pieced him out of various scraps. I am going to enter him in this fortnights Cards for Men challenge - Paper Piecing.

Monday, 8 March 2010

Mothers Day

Finally today, I was playing with all the left over bits of card on my desk, and I came up with this card for Mothers Day - I think I may possibly have gone over board with the Martha Stewarts punching, but hey, its that Monday feeling.
;0)

Butterfly Blossoms

This is a sample ready for my beautiful blossoms class at the weekend, but I thought I would enter it into the Magical Crafts Fortnightly challenge - Things with Wings.
I've used the new Nellie's Choice Floral punches to create the flowers from pearlescent card, brown Stazon to stamp the Inkadinkadoo butterfly, my beloved nestabilities to cut the centre and the swiss dots Cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture.

Little Lizard

I haven't had much time for crafting over the last week, but whilst hopping around a few blogs earlier, I came across the Allsorts Challenge - Just for Men.
This is one of the cards that I have prepared for my class on mens cards tomorrow night.
I hope the girls will like it.

Sunflower Bear

I was very excited last week when a little envelope of goodies arrived from Lili of the Valley, including the stamp used below. Now all I had to do was find a challenge so I could use him.
Well, I excelled myself and found two.
Firstly, I have used the sketch from this fortnights Teddy Stampers blog, and secondly I have used brown and mint colours so that I can also enter him in this weeks the Just Cute Bears challenge.
Just been hopping around, as you do, and I came across the Pink Elephant challenge, which this week is to add green to your card, so I thought this card might be quite appropriate, and also the promarker challenge - back to nature.
:o)
