Wishing You A Happy New Year

Afternoon All.
Sorry I haven't been around much, but it's that year old thing that as soon as you stop, you go and get ill again, so I have not even inked my new stamps that Father Christmas bought for me. Anyhow, I hope you have all had a lovely Crimbo, and are heading for a fabulous New Year.
I just thought I'd post this photo of the new cat tent, my sister bought her furry nephews for Christmas - How cute is this?
~~Thank You Auntie Jacky~~
Back soon with some cards.
Have a lovely New Year,
Sharon xx

Flintstone Christmas

Afternoon.
Well I think this is it, my last Christmas card of the year - unless the dreaded ginger kitten eats another card - as he did to my Angelic Tilda card in the post below. I left the room for 5 minutes to come back to a torn and shredded card and a cat looking cute with the remains of a flower hanging from his chops - he is sooooo in the dog house.
Anyhow, this is a quick decoupage card for hubby, who watches as many cartoons as the kids do, so I thought this would be right up his street.
I hope everyone who reads this has a Lovely Christmas and a very crafty New Year.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges;
The Corrosive Challenge Blog - non traditional Christmas
A Spoonful Of Sugar - a Christmas card
My Time To Craft - Santa baby
Papertake - anything goes
Crafts and Me - anything goes
Sarah Hurley - last minute Christmas cheer (Thanks Lisa)
and
Fresh Brewed - merry Christmas
Thanks for looking
Big Christmas Hugs

Angelic Tilda

Evening All.
I hope it's not too cold and snowy where you are. I was planning to go shopping today, but ended up staying in, as it just didn't seem worth going out in the ice and snow. So instead I thought I'd actually tidy my desk so I'd have some room beyond the normal 6inch square to work in. Alas, I got side tracked and made this card ready for my Mum for Christmas.
The easel card has been cut using my new Go Create large dies, which give a fab 5.5inch diameter card, and they still fit through the Cuttlebug - Whoopee!!!!! The edges of the card have been coloured using good old Tim Holtz Distressing Ink. The flowers have also been tinted to tone in with the rest of the card, and the roses have been highlighted with Stickles glitter glue. I have coloured Tilda with Promarkers and highlighted her halo and wings with silver glitter. Finally, I have added a snowflake charm to the ribbon which has came from my on-line shop Ewe 2 Can Craft, where you can find over 70 different charms from 10p each (free postage on purchases over £5).
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges;
Critter Sketch - anything Christmas
A Spoonful Of Sugar - Christmas card
Simon Says -blue, white and silver
Crafts and Me - moody blues
Pattie's Creations - punch or punches (scallop circle and snowflake)
Allsorts - anything goes
Totally Gorjuss -for someone special (my Mum)
The Crafty Pad - anything goes
Paper Sundaes - cut it out
I Did It Creations - anything goes
OSAAT - anything goes
Creative Inspirations -anything goes Christmas
Totally Tilda - easel card
Die Cut Dreams - how girlie can you get?
and
Incy Wincy - shape it
Thanks for looking,
Big Christmas Hugs

Hubby's Birthday

Afternoon all - Me again!!
Just thought I'd pop by and show you the card I made for hubby's birthday - today.
Happy Birthday John x
I have had this Dustin Pike image for a while and it just seemed appropriate for this card - not that I'm saying hubby is a monkey - although he does have a very hairy back (ooh perhaps I shouldn't mention that). I wasn't going to make him a card as we have adopted my Grandads idea that it is far better to write happy birthday on a bar of chocolate than spend loads of money on a card, as you can eat the choc but just look at the card. But hey, what sort of blogger would I be to miss out on the opportunity of a challenge or two, so I made a card as well as get the chocolate.
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges;
Simon Says - sketch
CRAFT - Christmas birthday
Stamp Something - Christmas colour combo
Allsorts - light up the sky - must include candle
Our Creative Corner - colour combo
and
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day.

Blowing Bubbles

Morning All.
Hurray, children have gone back to school and Hubby is back at work - normality, or as close to as it gets in this household has returned.
It's time for another sketch challenge over at Sketch and Stash, and I am delighted to be a Guest Designer for them again.
One lucky person could win a fantastic $20 voucher to spend on line at Simon Says Stamps, so its got to be worth an entry.
I must confess I bought this stamp earlier in the year and have only just used it - it reminded me of my eldest son when he was little, as he used to spend hours blowing bubbles.
The image has been coloured with Promarkers, and the background paper is by Craft Creations. I have also gone over the bubbles with Glossy accents to make them raised and shiny.
I hope you like my effort, and will go on over to Sketch and Stash and join in the fun.

I'd like to enter it into the following challenges;

Cute Card Thursday - the blues
Paper Play - monochromes
and
The Crazy Challenge - on the go

Thanks for looking, and I'll be back really soon.

Not Quite Monochrome

Morning All.
Sorry I disappeared again, but been very busy, and went away for the weekend to an old school friends wedding, then have spent time trying to catch up with all the stuff I should have been doing at the weekend.
Well, I had some more fab news yesterday, I have been chosen as one of the new DT members for Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog, how exciting is that lol. I can't wait to join in the fun there.
I started making this card with the intention of it being a black and white monochrome card, but it just didn't look right, so I added a splash of green to liven the whole thing up - I think it's work, and I can't wait to see if you all agree. I hope the ladies on my class won't mind either.
I would like to enter it into the following challenges;
Quirky Crafts - black, white plus one other
Pear Tree Designs - sketch with gem twist
Papercutz - anything goes
and
Thanks for looking,

Holiday Reindeer Candle

Afternoon All.
Well what a busy week it's been. I've made lots of cards, which you will see over the next few days, started my scrapbook calendar Christmas pressies - only 4 to do, taught 4 classes, been to an Anne Summers party, and all the usual things, like keeping house and curtain making.
So today, inspired by my friend Woo, I thought I'd chill out a bit and make some candles ready for the school fayre.
This candle has a digi image on it from Pattie's Creations, and is just sooooo sweet. I only jammed the printer up a couple of times trying to get the image printed onto tissue paper, but we won't mention that to hubby. It has been coloured with Promarkers and his nose is coloured with Stickles glitter glue, for some Christmas sparkle.
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges;
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - handmade Christmas gift
Creative Inspirations - Christmassy
Crazy 4 Challenges - create a card / project
Winter Wonderland - a decoration

Forgotten Stamp

Morning All.
It's Wednesday again, so it's time for another challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky.
Well done to all of you who entered last weeks challenge - going around in circles. You are a very talented bunch, and there were some amazing entries.
This time we would like you to rake out and use that long forgotten stamp at the back of the drawer.
The stamp I have used, is one I feel in love with, but had never used as it is on the large side - as the lady stands just under 6 1/2 in high. Then whilst shopping I came across some large pillar candles, and suddenly she seemed ideal.
I hope it will help to inspire you to join in our challenge this time round, and if you still need some more inspiration, check out the other DT projects, they are all fab-u-lous!!!
Hugs Sharon x

Thinking of You

Morning All.
Just a quick post to share this little card with you all. I thought it would work either as a sympathy card or a get well message. The stamp is a Prima Marketing image, which has been inked with Rich Cocoa Momento ink, and coloured in parts with Promarkers. The 2 DP are from my stash, and I'm sorry I'm not sure which make they are. The flowers are also by Prima Marketing.

Going Around In Circles

Morning All.
Hopefully you are seeing this Wednesday morning, as I'm attempting my first scheduled post, as I am hopefully having an ultrasound, amongst other things, whilst dear old blogger is dealing with my post.
I was very impressed with all your colourific challenge entries last week, and can't wait to see what you can do with this weeks challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky - Going Around In Circles.
You can interpret this however you like, just as long as you have fun doing it and we can see some circles somewhere on your creation.
I have used my Beaded Circles Nestabilities to make the basic easel card. The image is from the Flower Girls clear set from Pergamano, coloured with Promarkers and Sakura glitter pens. I hope you like the design.
Thanks for looking, and have a good day.

Tilda Candle

Evening All.
Well, I've been a good girl today and yesterday and have actually made a Roman blind, and caught up on a few alterations, along with the exciting things in life, like food shopping, which is not good on a Saturday morning with two kids in tow - but hey I had to go and buy some more candles as well.
So I thought I'd show you another candle I have made, this time using a Magnolia Tilda stamp. I'm sorry about the photo but I had to use the flash as the light at the moment is awful for photographs. I'm only slightly addicted to doing them at the mo, and this is one ready for a teacher pressie at the end of term - I hope Ms Hancox will like it :o)
I'd also like to enter it into;

Falling Leaves

Afternoon Blogland.
This is my second post today, what's going on????
Well, we've got the heating engineers in and they are trying to get the heating up and running again after 14 months of frost bite. I'm not sure how it's going but they keep walking round the house hitting the radiators with a mallot, supposedly to get the gunk out of them, but all they seem to have succeeded in doing is giving me a massive headache. Anyhow I couldn't do the curtains I was supposed to be doing, as no matter where I tried to work, I always seemed to be in the way, so I have had a little play with my new Pink Gem stamp that I may have accidently ordered last week - ooooops!!!
I have coloured Guy Fawkes Milly with promarkers and glittered the firework in the sky. The border punch is another Martha Stewart one, and I have saved the waste to make the sprinkles for the shaker bit of the card.
I hope you like her.
I would like to enter it into;
Fresh Brewed - sketch
Cute Card Thursday - transparent - acetate on shaker box
Polka Doodles - autumn
Pear Tree Designs - bonfire night

One Stop Craft - anything goes
and
Stamp Something - stamp something with pink

I hope you like my design, and please come in and join in the fun at Fab 'n' Funky.

Let's Bake A Pudding

Afternoon.
Well the children are back at school, and some sense of normality has returned to the house, so I thought I'd share the last project for my Bears class on Thursday - and this is it.

I hope my ladies will enjoy their class.

Teddy Stampers - open theme (as long as includes a bear)

Anyone For Golf

Afternoon All.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I've been a busy bee today and altered a wedding dress this morning. Number two son has disappeared round to his friends for the afternoon, so the house is peaceful, except for the kittens, who are having a mad half an hour chasing each other round the house, spurred on by the eldest son.
Anyhow, I have been trying to focus on my bear class this afternoon, and had this Design House decoupage paper ready for the class. After starring at it blankly for a while, hubby arrived on the scene bearing a mug of coffee, and said "Why don't you do a golf ball easel card". Well that was it, off I went and this is the result.
I have textured the white card with a Crafts Too folder, and defined the edges using distressing ink. Then I have simply created a circular easel card using a Quickutz cookie cutter, before mounting on the decoupage - "Simples !!!!"

I'd like to enter it into;

Cards For Men - anything goes
Lexi's Creations - Happy Birthday
Creative Cottage - embossing
and
Hope you like.
See you soon

Fairy Wings

Afternoon All.
I've been playing this morning, trying to come up with some cards ready for my Bears class next week, but got sadly side tracked with my new Wild Rose girlie stamp, which I have turned into a fairy ready for my Fairy Fantasy class at In 2 Crafting on the 12th November. The wings have been cut using a Marianne D's butterfly die from white glitter paper, then mounted onto turquoise, with the holes filled in with glamour dust. I have used the antennae from the butterfly to give the little girlie her beadly boppers.
I'd like to enter it into;
A Spoonful Of Sugar - let's get punchy
Papertake - sparkly and bright
Creative Card Crew - let's punch it
ABC - G is for glitter

Hope you like it, and see you soon.

Morning All.
It's Wednesday again, which means that it's time for a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky.
Ooh boy, how good were all your Halloween cards, I had a great time flicking through them.
Let's see how you find this weeks challenge - Clean and Simple.
I found this one quite tough, and I confess I am not over happy with my design this time round, but let's hope you can put me to shame, and show how it should be done.
The stamp is from an Inkadinkadoo set, which I have stamped with rubarb stalk Momento ink, then highlighted areas with a Sakura Glaze pen.
I'd like to enter it in the following challenges;

Halloween Party

Morning all.
It's Wednesday morning again, which means it's time for a new challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky. This week the theme is "Things that go bump in the night!", so get out your Halloween goodies and join in the fun. I can't wait to pop over and see all your spooky projects.
For my DT card I thought I'd do something a bit different, so I have made a never ending card into a mini brag book of a Halloween party my children went to a few years ago. The die cut shapes used are mostly by Quickutz, and the papers are various scraps from my stash.
I'd like to enter it into the following challenges;
Polka Doodles - something spooky

The Corrosive Challenge - get rid of white
Pear Tree Designs - free for all
Charisma Cardz - more than one fold

Snowman Easel

Afternoon All.
Where does time go to, it seems ages since I posted a card - what happened to the days of posting a card every day - I know it's that thing called work getting in the way again. Oh well, shouldn't complain, it's good to be busy again.
This card is the second for my Sparkling Snowflakes class later this week - I just feel in love with the sentiment - From little snowflakes, mighty snowmen grow - and decided I just had to do a snowman card. I also decided to do an easel card, as it has been a while since I last did one, and it just seemed right to prop the snowman against the sentiment. The decorative borders have been done using a Martha Stewart punch, but I have used the waste snowflakes as the embellishments. He has been coloured using Sakura glitter pens, and highlighted with good old glamour dust - Christmas just wouldn't be the same without it.
I'd like to enter it into;
A Spoonful Of Sugar - winter wonderland
Charisma Cardz - more than 1 fold
Paper Cutz - anything goes
and
Pear Tree Designs - free for all
Hope you like, and see you soon
