Fab Photo Inspiration

Afternoon All.
Well, I must apologise in advance for this being a long post, but I have quite a lot to tell you all.

Yesterday was a very exciting day for me, as I was picked as 'Talent Of The Day' at Joanna Sheens challenge blog, which was such a surprise and honor. I must say a huge thank you to Sue for emailing me to let me know the good news, thank Sue.
Then whilst going through my comments, Crafty Daffy was so very kind, and honored me by giving me the Liebster Blog award. Thank you soooo much xx

The idea of the Liebster Blog Award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers) to other small blogs. This helps to spread knowledge and readership.
To accept the award, you must:
1) Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.
2) Post the award to your blog.
3) Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4) Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know.
"Liebster" in German means "dearest", so to carry on the Liebster tradition, I am going to pass the award on to 5 people who's blogs have been an inspiration to me and my crafting. To be honest, passing this on will be difficult as there are so many wonderful small blogs that have inspired me. It will be a challenge to chose only 5. However, as needs must, here are 5 wonderful and inspiring blogs/ bloggers that I would love to pass the Liebster Blog award on to (in no particular order).

The 5 bloggers I would like to award are;

Woo at The Crafty Monkey blog, who is my friend as well as an inspiration to me and many more.

Di at Di's Designing Cards, whose cards are always amazing, and I always aspire to make creations like them.

Jacky at Paddington Fan's blog, who is my sister, and often chats to me on the phone whilst we card make together - if that's possible.

Lindyloo at Lindyloo, who has one of the very first blogs I ever followed

and

Hazel at Just Add Glitter, whose cards always put a smile on my face.

So thank you again to Crafty Daffy for picking me.

Last but not least sees the start of a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky, and this week we have a photo inspiration for you to follow.

I can't wait to see what all you talented people out there come up with.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;

Addicted To Stamps - summer in winter

Bithday Sundaes - birthday card

Stamptacular Sunday - seeing spots

Crazy 4 Challenges - a childs card

Patties Creations - fancy folds (pleated strip)

Thanks for looking, and thanks for ploughing through such a long post.

Hey Mickey

Morning All.
Where did that weekend go? I failed to do any crafting, but instead tackled every wardrobe in the house, so now I have a huge heap of the childrens and my clothes that no longer fit, that I'm not quite sure what to do with. I think I could start my own charity shop, there are so many. Anyhow, at least when I came to put the ironig away, the clothes now actually fit in the cupboards with hanging room, so they may reappear looking not too bad, unlike the recent unironed look, even though they'd been ironed lol.
Anyway, todays card is ready for the new challenge over at Cutie Pie, and this time round we would like to see your cute creations inspired by a song. I saw this image of Tilda and it instantly brought back happy memories of bouncing about (I won't say dancing) to Hey Mickey!! This challenge is sponsored by the lovely Emma at Crafty Emma's Store. Our second sponsor is our very own DT Lead WOO who is giving some of her New Stash away to our Random Winner!
I would like to enter my creation in the following challenges;
Birthday Sundaes - birthday card with sentiment
Lets Ink It Up - anything goes
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - sport
Stamptacular Sunday - seeing spots
The Stamp Man - red
Stampin With The Dragon - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - music and dance
and
Pixie Dust Studio - we're going dotty
Thanks for looking, and I hope you will pop over and join in the fun - the other DT cards are amazing.

Recycle It.....

Morning All.
It's time for another challenge at Fab 'n'Funky, and this week we would like you to use something that you would of normally recycled (thrown away) in your project eg: Christmas Tags (turn them over and use the white part), ribbon from presents, a gift box or bag, corrugated packaging, lining inside packaging, bubblewrap, a damaged Christmas decoration, Christmas paper etc . . . you get the idea . . . basically recycle something unwanted into something useful.
On my creation, I have used a LOTV image, but made it into a shaker card, so I have recycled some acetate from a box that had parcel bows in it, plus the stars in the shaker itself were collected off a table at a party my son attended.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;
ABC Christmas - anything goes
Crazy Amigo - winter colours

Well it's another grey day here in Essex, and rather than a fun day crafting, I've had to do exciting things like go food shopping, and try and exchange wrong size Christmas gifts and all that sort of thing - not fun. But hey, have finally made it home, unpacked, made a coffee, and thought I'd better upload my DT card for the new challenge at Here Come The Boys that starts today.
This time round we have a fabulous sketch for you to follow, designed by our very own leading lady Woo - check out her blog, she does some ace cards. Plus Woo is also sponsoring the challenge this time round, so you have the chance to win a pack of 12 6x6 Papers & a Stamp Set.
I have used a little pirate on my card, which has been coloured with ProMarkers, distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distressing ink, and used some DP from my stash. The filigree corners are available from my shop - Ewe 2 Can Craft.
