Snowman Easel

Afternoon All.
Where does time go to, it seems ages since I posted a card - what happened to the days of posting a card every day - I know it's that thing called work getting in the way again. Oh well, shouldn't complain, it's good to be busy again.
This card is the second for my Sparkling Snowflakes class later this week - I just feel in love with the sentiment - From little snowflakes, mighty snowmen grow - and decided I just had to do a snowman card. I also decided to do an easel card, as it has been a while since I last did one, and it just seemed right to prop the snowman against the sentiment. The decorative borders have been done using a Martha Stewart punch, but I have used the waste snowflakes as the embellishments. He has been coloured using Sakura glitter pens, and highlighted with good old glamour dust - Christmas just wouldn't be the same without it.
I'd like to enter it into;
A Spoonful Of Sugar - winter wonderland
Charisma Cardz - more than 1 fold
Paper Cutz - anything goes
and
Pear Tree Designs - free for all
Hope you like, and see you soon

Oh, Christmas Tree

Morning All.
Isn't it chilly today? Is winter about to set in? About time I tried to get the heating fixed!!!!
I thought I would show you the first card I have made ready for my 'Sparkling Snowflakes' class next week. I must confess my mojo has gone into hibernation and I am struggling for inspiration at the moment - but hey, I'm sure it will all be OK on the day :o)
The backing was embossed using my trusty Cuttlebug folder, then cut into strips. The snowflake Christmas tree stamp is a new release from Kars, and was a bit of a bargain at £1.25, which I have just highlighted with some tiny gems. The snowflakes were made by layerng up an assortment of punched shapes.
I hope you like.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges, then I'm off to try and come up with some more frosty creations.
Papertake Weekly - 3 of a kind
Allsorts - inspiration from a song title - Oh Christmas Tree
Pile It On - things in threes
and
Creative Craft World - Lou's monochrome challenge
See you soon,

Yummy Yummy Yummy

Morning All.
Hope you are having a good week - I can't believe it is Wednesday already, where does time go. This also means that it is time for a new challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky - Yummy Yummy Yummy, but more about that in a mo.
Firstly I would like to introduce you to the two new additions to the household. Arthur is a ginger 6 month old kitten, and Merlin is about 4 months old. Both are from the Cats Protection League, and have just come out of foster care. Merlin has settled really well, and is already ruling the house, whereas Arthur is just a hissy fur ball at the mo, who needs lots of love and patience to make up for his past, but at least after four days he has come out of the cupboard, next step is to be able to touch him without any blood loss. He's not that bad honestly, he is just a scared little chap trying to put on a big front :o). The best thing though is to see them curled up together purring for all they are worth.
Anyhow on to this weeks Fab 'n' Funky challenge.
We are very please to be sponsored this time by Stitchy of Stitchy Bear Stamps who supply an amazing range of digital stamps.
The theme is "yummy, yummy, yummy". Now it's up to you how you interpret the challenge but as long as we can recognise the theme, that's fine by us! You could make a harvest themed card, birthday card with yummy cakes or even a Christmas card with a huge figgy pudding (Christmas pud) on the front . . as always we can't wait to see what you do with the theme.
Go on, have a go, and Good luck !!!
Now I'd like to enter my card in;
Stamp Something - something punchy
Craftalicious - anything goes
OLLCB - nothing floral
and finally
I hope you like, and see you again soon.

Anyone For Drinks

Hello All.
News is kittens are arriving tomorrow evening - just a bit excited, but nothing compared to the children.
Anyhow, I finished this card last night, but didn't get round to posting it, and it is my third card for my paper piecing class on Saturday. Once again I have used a Wild Rose stamp. The papers are by K & Co. I think, and the border punch is the Martha Stewart hydrangea one.
The lady herself has been coloured with Promarkers, then the dress, shoes, bag and flower in her hair have been paper pieced. Her jewellery and flower centres have been coloured using a metallic Sakura gel pen, and the wine is done using a glitter Sakura gel pen.
I hope my class will enjoy using this technique as much as I do.
I'd like to enter this card into;
Stamp Something - something to celebrate
Sweet Stampin' - punch it out
Pollycraft Monday - anything goes
Creative Craft Challenge - what a glamour puss
and
Fresh Brewed - anything goes / girly challenge
Thanks for looking and I'll be back soon with something special :o)

Beer Time

Afternoon all.
Sorry I disappeared for a few days, but life has been a bit hectic here.
Well number one son didn't completely starve having the fixings for his brace fitted, but he has to go back again this Friday to have the job finished. To cheer him up a bit Saturday, (and me), we went to a Cats Protection League re homing event and are now awaiting the arrival of Arthur and Merlin, providing the house check goes OK. I'll post some pictures when they get here - hopefully by the weekend. Consequently the weekend was spent visiting various pet shops to find all the appropriate bits ready for the arrival of the little fur balls.
Today has been rather exciting as well. I have had a delivery of clear stamps to go in my shop Ewe 2 Can Craft, including Flippin' Men and Women, Paddington Bear, Flower Fairies and Winnie the Pooh, along with loads of iris folding papers. Hopefully they will all be uploaded this week, around various doctors and hospital appointments.
Also I have won two challenges, Sketch Saturday challenge with my Monster Birthday card and also the Creative Cottage challenge with Roary the Lion - how exciting is that !!!!!
Today's card is the second for my Paper Piecing with Wild Rose stamps class at In 2 Crafting on Saturday. I love this stamp, as the beer belly on this man reminds me of so many of my friends.
I'd also like to enter it into;
Paper Cutz - 3 patterned papers
Stamptacular Sunday - layer it on
Paper Sundaes - something from your stash
Cupcake Crafts - happy hour
and
OLLCB - nothing floral
I hope you like the card, off to design number 3 now.
See you soon,
Big hugs Sharon xx

Milton

Afternoon all.
Well the household is literally 'bracing' itself for tomorrow, as amongst other things the eldest is having a fixed brace fitted - and he (nor the rest of us) are not looking forward to it. His biggest problem is that he was told he wouldn't be able to eat for 4 hours, so he thinks he will die of starvation.
Aside from that, I have just started preparing my paper piecing class for next week, and thought I'd share the first card with you all. The stamp is by Wild Rose Studio, and just seemed ideal for the technique. The fake brads were made by cupping some circles cut with the 1/2in Woodware circle punch (the yellow one), and the backing paper is from Craft Creations.
I'd like to enter it into;
Charisma Cardz - Christmas crafting
C.R.A.F.T. - fancy floral
Creative Inspirations - Christmas in September
Creative Card Crew - bloomin' marvellous
One Stitch At A Time - anthing goes
Incy Wincy - anything goes
Totally Gorjuss - Christmas
and finally
Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club - Christmas furry things
Hope you like it, and I'll be back soon.
Big Hugs Sharon xx
