Woman Power

Hello Again

This card was made ready for the new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. The theme for this fortnight is 'Woman or Women' to celebrate International Woman's Day or Mothers Day.

I have used a Julie Nutting doll stamp for my card, which has been partially coloured with ProMarkers, and then the clothes have been paper pieced on. The backing was created using a retired Stampin' Up stamp - En Francies, The accent stamps are from Tim Holtz, as I just love the body form and sewing machine schematics. I have kept the sewing theme flowing with the addition of some buttons, which I did actually sew onto the card. It was finished with the addition of some floral highlights.

Riding Hard

Thanks for popping by. This card is for the latest challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz this week, and this time round we would like you to 'Create Your Own Background'.

My card has been created with a single stamp from Stampin' Up. I have stamped the motorcycle lots of times on scraps of white card, and then cut various bits out of them using a hexagonal punch. I have then taken these pieces and made the mosaic type background for my card. I love this technique, even though it takes a while to put all the bits together,

Birds Of A Feather

I have used a Tim Holtz Crazy Bird stamp for my card, coloured with ProMarkers. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. The card has simply been layered on to a coordinating mat, and finished with a doodle border.

Get Ahead -Get A Hat

Hello All

It's time, once again, for a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Galz, and this time round we would like to see your female cards with the theme 'Get Ahead - Get A Hat'.

I was running a bit short of time this week, so I have used a pre-coloured topper from LOTV to make my card, before going to town with the matting and layering. It has been finished with the addition of lots of paper roses and some pearls.

Let's Visit The Zoo

It's time for the next challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz, and this week we have a 'Going To The Zoo' theme.

I have used a retired Stampin' Up set for my giraffe, that was then coloured with ProMarkers, before being made into a tag. I have used an embossing folder to add some texture to the background, and have used another huge Stampin' Up stamp to create the map part of the backing. I hope you like the finished item.

Valentines

Hello

Another week has flown by, and it's time for the next challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. This time we would like to see your 'Valentine/Love' themed, male orientated cards.

I must confess, that my card is cased from one made by the lovely Linda Parker, as I always struggle doing love cards that don't look too girlie.

The card has been made using the new amazing die from Stampin Up - Bloomin' Hearts, and the stamp set and matching punch - Grateful Bunch. I know I'm biased, but I do love the quality of the Stampin Up products. The flowers and sentiment have been heat embossed.
