Cute and Cuddly

Morning All.
Is it me, or is blogger being a pain again at the moment? I was trying to comment last night, and I kept having to log in, then it wiped the comment, so I retyped it and when you tried to post it again, you had to log in again ARGHHHHHH!!!! So I must apologise as I gave up after a couple of hours, as I think I only managed to leave about half a dozen comments in that time - Sorry.
Next I must say a huge thank you to Lynne at Crafts 4 You, for making me my new watermark. She also has the patience of a Saint, trying to teach me how to put it over the photo's. Thanks Hunny x
On to the card. This is my DT card for the new challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky, where this week we would like you to make something with a cute and cuddly theme. Our sponsor this week is Di's Digi Downloads.

Floral Fantasy

Morning All.
How excited am I today, as I am guest designing for the lovely ladies over at My Sheri Crafts this week. Their theme this week is Memorial Day / Victorian Day, which I must admit, not being Canadian or American, I didn't have a clue about. So that everyone can join in, they have changed the challenge to also include flowers, which must be the focal of your card.
I choose to make a punched craft flower from Bazzil cardstock, using chalks to tint the petals. I hope you like the result.
I would also like to enter my card in the following challenges;
Cupcake Crafts - in the garden
Incy Wincy - clean and simple
Lexi's Creations - spots and/or stripes
The Crazy Challenge - pink and green
Charisma - birthdays in pink
and
Sarah Hurley - frames
Thanks for looking.

Embossing With A Difference

Afternoon All.
I hope you are enjoying your weekends, and that it is bright and sunny, just like it is here. It is a good day, even the children are playing nicely with no squabbling - I'm enjoying it while it lasts lol.
Anyhow, I thought I'd share one of the cards my lovely ladies did in my embossing with stitching class this week. The idea came about when I found some tiny flower sequins that matched the shape of the flowers on one of my embossing folders. So I decided that you could prick a hole in the embossed card and add a sequin to each flower, holding it in place by sewing a bead on top - and this is the result - I hope you like it.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges;
OSAAT - anything goes
Dream Valley - dig out the old and use with the new (sequins new, embossing folder old)
Cupcake Crafts - in the garden
Incy Wincy - clean and simple
The Shabby Tea Rooms - monochromatic
Crafty Cardmaker - embossingLink
A Spoonful Of Sugar - anything goes
Truly Scrumptious - anything goes
Crafts and Me - anything goes
Paper Play - sparkle galore
Crafty Catz - anything goes
Totally Papercrafts - don't be square
Alphabet Challenge - C is for clean and simple
CES -embellish it
and
Craft Your Days Away - white plus one
Thanks for looking, and I'll be back soon.

Edwin In Tights

Morning All.
Well it's time for the second challenge at Here Comes The Boys, where has that fortnight disappeared to.
May I just say how blown away the team has been to your response to the first challenge - it has been absolutely fantastic, and far beyond what we'd hoped for - thanks to you all - you are all winners in my mind.
This time round we have a sketch for you to follow - you can flip, rotate or do whatever with it, so long as we can still see the basics of the sketch, and it must be a male themed entry. We are lucky enough to be sponsored by Sarah Pinnington this time, who runs Stampin Up classes, and on offer is a reel of Taffeta ribbon and an Embellishment kit from Stampin' Up.
I thought it was about time that Edwin made an appearance on the blog - so here he is doing his Men In Tights impression. I hope you like him.

Evening All.
Well what a busy day it has been. My baby boy is 8 today, so we have been celebrating all day. I have spent most of the day building Lego Starwars models, and Harry Potter bits - GREAT FUN. Now on juiors request, we are having pizza delivered for tea, so I thought I'd hide away for 10minutes, and quickly post a card.
This is another card I made for my occasions class - and yes you've guessed it, it was another LOTV image - just can't help myself - I adore them. The backing paper is by Papermania, and the flowers are from my stash.

Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Crazy 4 Challenges - lots of flowers
Sweet Stampin' - childhood memories (playing Drs and nurses)

Koi Carp

Hello Everyone.
I'm running a bit late today, as I've been out to a fab card class this morning, then I've gained lots of extra children after school - not sure how that happened, but the house has turned completely chaotic. It's a good job I have blogland to escape to.
Anyhow its time for another challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky, and this week it's...........

No DP

This was a bit of a toughie for me, as I hadn't realised how much I have come to rely on papers. The card I finally came up with is ready for my Uncle's birthday on Sunday, as he keeps Koi. The image was made by passing a Dream Weaver stencil through my Cuttlebug to emboss the image, then I chalked through the stencil to colour it in. It was then simply matted and layered using red and black to add to the oriental feel. The card was completed with the addition of a Chinese coin (from my shop). I hope he will like it :o)
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges;
Crafts 4 Eternity - anything goesAllsorts - oriental
OSAAT - emboss it
Cupcake Crafts - beginning with C (Chinese style)
Polly Craft Monday - anything goes
The Crazy Challenge - cards for men
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
My Time To Craft - red and white
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
The Pixie Cottage - one for the boys and/or sketch
and
Thanks for looking.

Here Come The Boys Launch Challenge

Morning Blogland.
Well, how excited am I this morning - today is the day that my friend Woo's and my new challenge blog launches it's first challenge. It started as a fly by comment at one of my classes, then it has grown to a real life blog, and now we are launching our first challenge. So please come on over and join in our ....

Anything Goes Challenge at Here Comes The Boys.

The aim of the blog is to encourage all you fantastic crafters out there to make more male orientated cards and projects, as every challenge we run will be for the men of your lives.

I am also luck enough to be sponsoring the first challenge from my shop - Ewe 2 Can Craft - and up for grabs for the winner is a set of 5 pastel ProMarkers.

I decided I would use one of my favourite images for my launch card, so have gone for the boy and dog riding a bike from LOTV (by the way, I can't wait for their new releases on 11th May - the sneaky peaks look fantastic). The backing papers are from Basic Grey, and to complete the card I have used a little Craftwork Cards card candy (another small addiction).

I hope it will inspire you to come on over and support our new challenge - Please :o)

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;

Pollycraft Monday - fun and games

Craft Your Passion - show us your layers

My Time To Craft - perfect pets

Creative Card Crew - child's play

Papercutz - anything goes

and

Crafts 4 Eternity - anything goes

Thanks so much for looking and I hope you will come on over and join in the fun.
